Another inclusion which of course isn't a shanty, but nonetheless a lovely ballad all about the old sailors and their ways. Fiddler's Green was the name for the sailors' heaven, "where the girls are all pretty, the beer it's all free, and there's bottles of rum hung upon every tree". What can you say about such a wonderfully written song as Fiddler's Green. A modern song, well written by John Connolly and what a lovely tune too. This is sung by countless groups and singers the. world over, and one never really gets tired of singing it.
