Why the Doom Hole Exists

This site is primarily a home for the "FFVI Vargas Edition", my text hack of Final Fantasy VI, arguably the greatest RPG of all time. I was inspired to begin work on this project when I came across several other humorous edits for various other RPG roms. More and more, as I went through these works, I came across a few recurring elements, which are as follows:
1. Pack it full of curses
2. Pack it full of sex and crudity
3. Remove basic plot elements, replace with vulgarity
I would like to emphasize that I do not have anything against the makers of such edits, indeed, I have even linked to some of my favorites in the links page. Not only that, but it was their previous efforts that have inspired me to begin work on this text edit. However, I feel that it is beginning to get in such a way that all text hacks are more or less the same. Thus, I have steeled myself to the challenge of making a funny, yet "tasteful" text hack. This, I decided, would, among other things, require one simple rule:
Use absolutely no curses! Quite simply, I felt that such a limitation would force me to evoke humor not from vulgarity, but from satire and raw comic innovation.
