Here are some common key-presses to keep information at your fingertips.

CTRL-2 - View your truck from the outside. (Hold down the CTRL key while pressing 2 at the top of keyboard). Rotate your view using the joystick hat or INSERT, DELETE, + (numeric keypad), and - (numeric keypad). CTRL-1 or HOME returns you to cockpit view.

CTRL-3 - View your truck from the outside (at a distance). (Hold down the CTRL key while pressing 3 at the top of the keyboard). CTRL-1 or HOME returns you to cockpit view.

CTRL-1 - Return to cockpit view. (Hold down the CTRL key while pressing 1).

HOME - Return to cockpit view.

D - Display toggle. Go from cockpit view with instruments, to no cockpit, to no cockpit with a heads-up instrument display.

F - Finder toggle. Turns on and off a "compass" that points to the next waypoint.

TAB - Map toggle. Turns on and off a map overlay that shows the course and the other trucks.

L - Toggles your lights on and off.

T - Brings up the in-game chat window. You can direct a message to a specific player by using the arrow keys to scroll through a list of names.

H - Calls for the helicopter to rescue you and put you back on course during a race. Pressing H a second time sends it away. (You can use this to "brake" quickly if you're going over a ledge. Punch H twice in rapid succession and you will "freeze" in midair then drop to the ground.)

O - Toggles the "overboard" (scoreboard/pitboard).

F11 - Previous CD track.

F12 - Next CD track.
