Clawfford's World was originally
released as 5 separate tracks taking up 12.43 MB on my website and filling up 41.47 MB of space on your hard drive.
But with a suggestion from CH_2005 , I used PodMate
to merge all 5 into a single POD file, PodZip
to shrink the file further, and finally 7-Zip (the tightest ZIP compression I've found) to ZIP
the POD file for uploading. The result is that I now save 10.43 MB of space on my website, and you save 23.17 MB
of hard drive space! In fact, this single file is smaller than any one of the individual Clawfford's World
tracks previously released!
| The only problems you may encounter: 1) Clawfford's World uses some textures from the stock tracks. If you unpod any of the stock tracks then you might find that Clawfford's World suddenly has errors. 2) You WILL get an error message when playing against someone who is still using one of my old unmerged versions. Go ahead and play - there should be no problems. But suggest the Clawfford's World merged POD file to them! |
